Located in the center of Sapporo, it is popular for its easy access. It is the kitchen of Sapporo citizens with a history of over 125 years. Lined with shops where you can taste freshly caught seafood on the spot, unique restaurants, souvenir shops and more, it is bustling every day.
Located at the eastern end of Odori Park, this radio tower is a landmark of Sapporo. From the observation deck 90.38 meters above ground, you can get a panoramic view of the entire city of Sapporo.
This is the oldest surviving clock tower in Japan and a famous spot representing Sapporo. It was built in 1875 (Meiji 11) as a performance hall for Sapporo Agricultural College, the predecessor of Hokkaido University.
An oasis in the city that stretches 1.5km from east to west through the center of Sapporo. Seasonal events such as the early summer Lilac Festival, the Yosakoi Soran Festival, and the Snow Festival are held here, and it is loved by many residents and tourists alike for its beautiful flower beds and lawns.

Hokkaido University is a national university and is also famous as a tourist spot. In addition to the general museum, which has 10,000 academic materials available to the public free of charge, there are plenty of attractions, such as the Sapporo Agricultural College No. 2 Farm, an Important Cultural Property, and the poplar trees.
Opened in 1886, this is the second oldest botanical garden in Japan. Located in the center of the city, it is loved as a "green oasis," and within its 13.3 hectares, it is home to around 4,000 species of plants, mainly native to Hokkaido.
Hokkaido Government Office Building, affectionately known as the "Red Brick Office," is a brick building in the American Neo-Baroque style that was built in 1885 (Meiji 21) and served as the administrative center of Hokkaido for approximately 80 years until the construction of the new building.
In one corner of Susukino, 17 stores specializing in Sapporo's signature miso ramen line the streets. You'll be spoilt for choice with the unique menu of each store.
MOERENUMA PARK is a comprehensive park in Sapporo City that was planned as a base park in the "Circular Green Belt Concept," which aims to envelop the city of Sapporo in a belt of parks and green spaces. The vast grounds are neatly arranged with facilities such as mountains, fountains, and playground equipment that make extensive use of geometric forms, allowing you to enjoy a beautiful landscape that combines nature and art.
The Sapporo Court of Appeal, built in 1926 (Taisho 15), has completed its role and is now open to the public as the Sapporo City Museum. The exterior wall is engraved with a "goddess" and a "sword of justice," which represent the equality and fairness of the law. In 2020 (Reiwa 2), it was designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium, where the Sapporo Winter Olympics were held. From Okurayama Observation Deck, located 307 meters above sea level, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Odori Park stretching out in front of you, as well as many landmarks scattered around the city, such as Daiwa House PREMIST DOME and Hokkaido University.
The Hokkaido Prefectural Gymnasium, affectionately known as "Hokkai Kitaeru," is used for a variety of events, including international, national, and local sporting events.
The Governor's Residence is a historic building that dates back over 80 years, and construction techniques from the early Showa period are used throughout. The reception room door is roughly constructed with a sawn edge, and air bubbles remain inside the window glass, revealing vestiges of the techniques used at the time. However, the building is sturdy and luxuriously finished.
It is one of Sapporo's most popular tourist spots, with its symbolic statue of Dr. Clark and adorable sheep. There are also plenty of facilities and events where you can enjoy Hokkaido's food and nature.
Located almost in the center of Sapporo, Mount Moiwa is 531 meters above sea level. You can take a ropeway and a mini cable car to the observation deck at the top of the mountain, where you can get a magnificent view of Sapporo.
On September 1, 1869, by imperial decree of Emperor Meiji, the Hokkaido Chinza-jinsai (Hokkaido Shrine Festival) was held at the Jingikan in Tokyo to worship the three gods known as the Three Deities of Development - Okunitama-no-Mikoto, Onamuchi-no-Mikoto, and Sukunahikona-no-Mikoto - who were the guardian deities of Hokkaido's development and growth. This is considered the founding of HOKKAIDO JINGU.
The Sapporo Hall of Zepp is one of nine concert halls in six cities across Japan. It hosts a variety of events, including concerts and live performances by artists.
It is the closest ski resort to the center of the city and is open until 10pm for night skiing. There are 17 courses with rich terrain, ranging from gentle courses that beginners and families can enjoy, to courses that are used as the stage for international competitions where top athletes compete.
Hokkaido's largest all-weather dome has been hosting various events since it opened in 2001. It is also the home stadium of the professional soccer team, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.
This full-scale ski resort is located at an altitude of over 1,000m on Mount Teine, where the Sapporo Olympics were held. It has earned high praise for its snow quality and course layout. It is a popular all-season resort that becomes the SAPPORO TEINE Golf Club during the summer.
Sapporo Maruyama Zoo opened as Hokkaido's first zoo on Children's Day in 1951. Since its opening, it has become the largest zoo in Hokkaido and has been loved by many people.
Shiroi Koibito Park is a theme park of happiness and sweets located in Sapporo, Hokkaido. In addition to a tour of the factory where Shiroi Koibito, a classic Hokkaido souvenir, is made, you can also experience candy-making and learn about the history of chocolate, all of which you can see, learn, taste and experience.
Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena is a dome-shaped multi-purpose facility located in Makomanai Park, Hokkaido. It is used for a variety of events, including sports competitions, ice shows, concerts, and live performances.
This ski resort boasts some of the best powder snow in Hokkaido and an expansive slope. It has the longest operating season among the ski resorts near Sapporo, and is usually open from mid-November to early May.
