Starting April 1, 2026, a lodging tax will be introduced in Hokkaido and Sapporo City for stays from that date onward.
In addition, starting with stays on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the hot spring tax will be treated as an external tax and will be paid separately from the accommodation fee.

*Even if you made a reservation before April 1, 2026, the accommodation tax will be levied on stays from April 1 onwards.

Others
The accommodation tax and bath tax are to be paid separately from the room charge at the hotel.
The tax may be exempted for school events such as school excursions if certain requirements are met.
