SAPPORO TV TOWER

Odori Park

Sapporo Clock Tower

This is the oldest surviving clock tower in Japan and a famous spot representing Sapporo. It was built in 1875 (Meiji 11) as a performance hall for Sapporo Agricultural College, the predecessor of Hokkaido University.

Sapporo Shiryokan (Former Sapporo Court of Appeals)

The Sapporo Court of Appeal, built in 1926 (Taisho 15), has completed its role and is now open to the public as the Sapporo City Museum. The exterior wall is engraved with a "goddess" and a "sword of justice," which represent the equality and fairness of the law. In 2020 (Reiwa 2), it was designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.

Hokkaido Government Office Building

Hokkaido Government Office Building, affectionately known as the "Red Brick Office," is a brick building in the American Neo-Baroque style that was built in 1885 (Meiji 21) and served as the administrative center of Hokkaido for approximately 80 years until the construction of the new office building.

Okurayama Observation Deck

Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium, where the Sapporo Winter Olympics were held.
