The largest entertainment district north of Tokyo, symbolized by the large Nikka sign, is packed with a variety of entertainment facilities, including approximately 3,500 restaurants.
The oldest and largest shopping street in Hokkaido. Its long arcade is also a distinctive feature. It is a tasteful fusion of shops ranging from long-established stores that have been in business for 60 years to trendy new shops.
In one corner of Susukino, 17 stores specializing in Sapporo's signature miso ramen line the streets. You'll be spoilt for choice with the unique menu of each store.

This is the oldest surviving clock tower in Japan and a famous spot representing Sapporo. It was built in 1875 (Meiji 11) as a performance hall for Sapporo Agricultural College, the predecessor of Hokkaido University.

Nakajima Park, located in the center of Sapporo, is rich in nature and has been certified as one of the "Top 100 Urban Parks of Japan." It is a place of relaxation in the city with many attractions, including the Hoheikan, a nationally designated important cultural property, and a Japanese garden.
Hokkaido University University is a national university and is also famous as a tourist spot. In addition to the general museum, which has 10,000 academic materials available to the public free of charge, there are plenty of attractions, such as the Sapporo Agricultural College No. 2 Farm, an Important Cultural Property, and the poplar trees.
The Sapporo Court of Appeal, built in 1926 (Taisho 15), has completed its role and is now open to the public as the Sapporo City Museum. The exterior wall is engraved with a "goddess" and a "sword of justice," which represent the equality and fairness of the law. In 2020 (Reiwa 2), it was designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
Hokkaido Government Office Building, affectionately known as the "Red Brick Office," is a brick building in the American Neo-Baroque style that was built in 1885 (Meiji 21) and served as the administrative center of Hokkaido for approximately 80 years until the construction of the new office building.
Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium, where the Sapporo Winter Olympics were held. From Okurayama Observation Deck, located at an altitude of 307m, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Odori Park stretching out in front of you, as well as many landmarks scattered around the city, such as Daiwa House PREMIST DOME and Hokkaido University.
Located almost in the center of Sapporo, Mount Moiwa is 531 meters above sea level. You can take a ropeway and a mini cable car to the observation deck at the top of the mountain, where you can get a magnificent view of Sapporo.
It is one of Sapporo's most popular tourist spots, with its symbolic statue of Dr. Clark and adorable sheep. There are also plenty of facilities and events where you can enjoy Hokkaido's food and nature.
The Sapporo Hall of Zepp is one of nine concert halls in six cities across Japan. It hosts a variety of events, including concerts and live performances by artists.
Since its opening in 2001, it has become Hokkaido's largest all-weather dome, hosting large-scale concerts and sporting events. It is also the home stadium of the professional soccer team, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.
It is the closest ski resort to the center of the city and is open until 10pm for night skiing. There are 17 courses with rich terrain, ranging from gentle courses that beginners and families can enjoy, to courses that are used as the stage for international competitions where top athletes compete.
This full-scale ski resort is located at an altitude of over 1,000m on Mount Teine, where the Sapporo Olympics were held. It has earned high praise for its snow quality and course layout. It is a popular all-season resort that becomes the SAPPORO TEINE Golf Club during the summer.
This hot spring town is easily accessible, located 26km south of central Sapporo, just under an hour by car. The hot springs in the lush valley are popular as Sapporo's inner sanctum, and are visited by approximately 2.4 million people every year.

This ski resort boasts some of the best powder snow in Hokkaido and an expansive slope. It has the longest operating season among the ski resorts near Sapporo, and is usually open from mid-November to early May.
